Week 16: (27 May 2019 - 31 May 2019)

Activity:
  1. Continued on the Final Report, Technical Report and Progress Report of FYP2.
  2. Completing all contents and topics/sub-topics for Chapter 1 until Chapter 5.
Objective:
  1. To complete the FYP2 Final Report, Technical Report and Progress Report.
  2. Checking for any corrections in all Report, either involved with the contents, grammar or format.
Content/Procedure:
  1. The first elements of the report, for me, that need to be clear are the contents of the description in each sub-topic of each chapter. All sub-topics that been created must have a short & simple introduction and closing paragraph.
  2. Then, all Figures and Tables must have a caption with the correct order of the numbering label, which is based on ‘chapter number’ and ‘label numbers by a thread’. The cited paragraph, words or pictures must have a Citation number which the number was based on the order of numbers in the References list.
  3. In the References section, students required to list at least 20 references either from Journal, Book, Website or Article Report. The References must be generated to APA Style format and the references must be at least in the Year 2009 and above.
  4. If the Thesis Report has the Appendix section, it is advisable to label each Appendix with an alphabet starting with ‘A’. If the thesis has more than 26 Appendix, start the first label with double A or ‘AA’ then ‘AB’ and so on. All Appendixes must have a topic name.
  5. After I confirm the perfection of the contents, then I will proceed into checking the format of the Report so that it can meet the requirement as Dr. Marwangi and Dr. Imran requested;
      • Font: Arial
      • Size (Main Topics): 14 / (Others): 12
      • Styles: Normal
      • Spacing: 1.5
      • Paragraph: Justify
      • Margin for first Chapter;
        • Top & Left: 4cm
        • Bottom & Right: 2.5cm
      • Margin for other than first Chapter;
        •  Left: 4cm
        • Top, Bottom & Right: 2.5cm
      • All numbering must be in ROMAN
Result & Analysis:
  1. After completing the early draft of the Final Report, which was not included with fully complete of Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 yet, I have just noticed that my total pages for the Report were almost 80 pages, which is not included with the front cover, acknowledgment, abstract and table of contents.
  2. From the video send by Dr. Marwangi at FYP2 Group Telegram, it was explained that the minimum pages for the report are not less than 60 pages;
    • CHAPTER 1  =>    6pages
    • CHAPTER 2  =>  10pages
    • CHAPTER 3  =>  30pages
    • CHAPTER 4  =>  10pages
    • CHAPTER 5  =>    4pages
  3. All FYP2 students also are required to submit a Technical Report which briefly explains the project of each student. Minimum pages for a Technical Report are at least 5 pages.
  4. As for the Progress Report, student that used Log Book must buy it first at Kobrima and for those who used a blog, the blog must be updated according to the current weeks. All student must submit the Log Book to each of their Supervisor for marking. As for the student that used a blog, the link name for the blog must be sent to the Supervisor. All 17 Week must be completely done.

Conclusion:
Completing the format and the contents of the FYP2 Final Report is only 75% done. The next step that needs to be clear is the ‘Plagiarism Checking’, ‘Grammar Checking’ and ‘Printing Hard Copy’. All these steps must be done at least by next week which is the LAST week (Week 17).
